Very Nice Hotel in Great Location

My wife and I stayed in the Hotel Odeon St. Germain for five nights in July 2009. Our room was small but very nice, with nice decoration, a comfortable bed, its own air conditioner and television. The bathroom had modern fixtures and was very comfortable and stylish. But the best part about this hotel was the location: a quiet street only one block off Boulevard St. Germain, just down the street from Luxembourg palace and gardens, the Latin Quarter, St. Germain des Pres, and tons of restaurants, cafes and shops. It was an easy walk to the river, Notre Dame, the Louvre, and many other interesting things you would want to see in central Paris. It is also close to several metro stations and the St. Michel and Luxembourg RER stations (for easy access to the airport). The only issue we had was the size of the elevator, which barely fits two people. But I understand that this is typical of hotels in Paris, and it was never really a problem for us. We did not try the breakfast, but it seemed a little overpriced for what was included. We would recommend this hotel to others.
