When I booked the Hotel Odeon Saint-Germain I had the type of expectations that come when you pay top dollar! My partner and I were not disappointed. From the moment I arrived I felt relaxed and in safe hands - the case was whisked off to the room, the room admin done with minimal fuss and at a leisurely pace. The room was beautiful. Real attention to detail over the bedding and textiles in room, the bathroom fittings and were top notch and pretty big by Paris standards, minibar, digital safe, heater/aircon and a great flat screen TV with BBC, CNN etc so that you can watch the world’s banking system collapse before you go out and put it all in perspective with a trip to the local pattiserie!

On our first morning we went out for breakfast to Paul’s pattiserie and cafe but on the second we paid for the breakfast at the hotel. We were not disappointed. We probably paid around the same as the previous day, but this was a far more generous and leisurely help- yourself continental breakfast. Again, there is always a member of staff to hand should you need anything else, more coffee etc and lots of international newspapers and magazines if you really want to take your time before you hit the sites once again. Our flight home was an evening one and we left our luggage with reception with total confidence.

My partner and I have pretty hectic jobs which demand too much of our time. We went to Paris to switch off and spend some quality time together. Attention to detail at the Odeon Saint-Germain enbles you to focus on you and let them worry about the rest. Our stay made two days feel like two weeks. Worth every penny.
